Georgia Pecan Chess Pie

A homemade pecan chess pie baking in the oven on a metal tray, its golden crust and caramelized pecan topping bubbling as it nears perfection

Sweet, simple, and straight from the South — this Georgia Pecan Chess Pie bakes up with a golden top, a soft custard filling, and plenty of toasted pecans.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup White granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 pie shell, unbaked

Method

  1. Add sugars and flour; mix well.
  2. Add margarine and whip.
  3. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix well and pour into pie shell.
  4. Sprinkle pecans on top.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. The best pecan pie ever!!
